Description Exoticare’s Terraricare Ultra Drainage Layer for Bioactive Setups are made of 100% clay. It is a perfect solution for drainage in bioactive setups. It is a 50/50 blend of all natural fine clay chips, and Exoticare Biospheres. Expanded clay is a unique, lightweight aggregate. It is mined, formed into pellets, then kiln fired at high temperatures to cause the clay to expand into tough, lightweight balls. Our Terraricare Ultra naturally has balanced capillary action, with an ideal surface structure. It is semi-porous and generally does not Float like other products can. For best results, rinse all expanded clay before use. It is reusable as long as it is thoroughly cleaned between uses.
